About the Role

Job Description A Solid Waste Driver/Operator is a skilled worker responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining a

refuse collection vehicle in both residential and commercial areas. The Driver/Operator also serves as the lead worker

on the route with the supervisory responsibility of assigned solid waste workers. Essential Functions Drive a refuse

packer or commercial dumpster truck on an established route. Conform to state and local driving and safety regulations.

Operate the refuse collection vehicle efficiently, including lining up the vehicle to container bins, raising and

dumping bin contents, lowering container bins, and ensuring protection of bins from traffic flow. Utilize controls to
