Public Safety Dispatcher
About the Role
The Public Safety Dispatcher performs technical communications work in support of public safety operations. Work
involves receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, monitoring alarms and CCTV systems, obtaining and relaying
information, and dispatching appropriate personnel. Position is responsible for maintaining communication logs and
databases and operating a host of complex telecommunications and computer equipment to include multi-line phone systems,
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system,, and two-way radios. The employee in this position is considered an essential
employee and may be required to work non-traditional hours (evenings/overnight), weekends, holiday, during severe
