About the Role
Sanitation Worker I Job Location: City Maintenance Facility. Non-Exempt / Mandatory Testing. Fair Labor Standards Act
Status: Applicable. High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift heavy objects, work on scheduled holidays, and use a map
to locate addresses. Knowledge of the safe operation and routine maintenance of equipment. Possess and maintain a State
of Florida Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement or obtain within six (6) months of hire. Sanitation workers
deposit waste into a collection vehicle and operate the compaction mechanism. Workers report vehicle mechanical problems
to the driver, drive sanitation trucks to the transfer station, and ride on the external platform between collection
