About the Role

Treatment Plant Operator/Mechanic - Wastewater Positions are available in the North, Central, and South areas of the

County. Work schedule involves shift work and includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Performs

experienced crafts and trades work participating in the daily operation, maintenance, and housekeeping typical of a

wastewater treatment facility. Work includes operating process pumps, motors, blowers, and other wastewater treatment

plant equipment; taking samples of sewage, effluents, and sludge; performing simple, routine laboratory tests, including

sludge settling, centrifuge, and chlorine residual tests; cleaning treatment plant structures and equipment; and
