About the Role
Aircraft Mechanic I - C-130 Structures The Aircraft Mechanic I inspects, troubleshoots malfunctions, rigs, repairs and
modifies aircraft structures, structural components and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty. This mechanic repairs,
replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging,
surface controls, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheetmetal brake, rivet gun,
and drills. Inspects components/repairs for structural serviceability according to specifications and technical
publications. Removes and installs close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major aircraft structural components.
